Sound and music can be powerful tools in the healing process. They can be utilized as as an adjunct to traditional and alternative health care procedures and treatments. In all situations they can certainly be used as a pleasant addition to any form of practice.
Our body is a musical instrument. When the instrument is not tuned properly, a state of dis-ease or imbalance occurs. Each cell in our body is genetically programmed to maintain its own health and well-being. During the course of our life many emotional, mental, spiritual, and environmental factors interfere with this state.
In the ancient lands of Egypt, the healers travelled from door to door with a special healing Crystal Bowl called the "Faience Bowl". It was tuned to the note of F# for the high heart. The ancients believed that the way to facilitate healing is by opening the high heart that connects the hearts of all beings. The high heart is the one heart that connects all hearts to the One, to spirit, to God. It is located in the thymus gland or the center for the immune system.
The sound and vibrations emanating from the crystal singing bowls re-tune the listener's body, initially by opening, clearing, and re-balancing each of the 7 major chakras, plus the high heart and re-energizes the auric field. Healing is thus made possible on all levels. It has been scientifically established that each of these chakras or energy centers are associated with a musical note or vibrational frequency. Each individual is unique as to which energy center(s) require balancing, so you may find yourself drawn to different tones each time you experience them.
